nanaé

for women in motion, by a woman in motion.

movement has always been my rhythm. long before i chose it, it was already shaping who i am. born in germany to a family with kazakh roots, raised speaking russian at home, i grew up surrounded by different cultures, languages, and ways of seeing the world.

so my journey continued. the world has always felt bigger than one place. airports, countless flights, new cities, different time zones, another packed suitcase. i've travelled most of my life, always on my way somewhere. at 25, my husband and i left everything familiar behind and moved across the world to dubai, a city built around movement, ambition, and constant change. between heat, traffic, and days that move as fast as i do, motion has always been the one constant.

through all of it, one thing never left my side: a hair clip. i wear one every single day. it's the one accessory i genuinely can't live without, because my hair goes up and stays up, no matter where i am. but no clip i ever owned was actually made for a life like mine. i learned that through experience. one of them, a hard metal clip, once left a scar on my head when i fell during a seizure. because i live with epilepsy, i’m especially aware of head injuries and pay more attention to them than most people. right before we moved abroad, a speedboat in the maldives hit rough water, my head flew back, and the clip was crushed between my scalp and the boat. same problem, different place. it kept happening, because i never stop moving, and i can't go without a clip.

so i created the one i could never find. soft, light, flexible. a clip you forget you're wearing. proof that staying soft is its own kind of strength. made to move with you, from the moment you leave until the moment you arrive, and everything in between. always with you. with every version of yourself. that's nanaé.
